DIYvinci

Privacy Policy

Effective September 25, 2026

DIYvinci operates The Archive of Lost Ideas, referred to here as the Archive. This policy explains what information the Archive collects, why it is used, when it is shared, and what choices you have.

The short version

The Archive collects the information needed to run your account, provide membership access, save your choices, and create your Keeper Profile and monthly Observations. Private Field Notes are never sent to or read by AI. DIYvinci does not sell or rent your personal information.

Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, login details, and account settings.

Artis Vitae and Keeper Profile information

We store your Artis Vitae quiz answers and result, creative preferences, Current Movement selections, profile details, and other choices you add to your Keeper Profile.

Archive activity

We may record actions such as opening an Entry or Quest, choosing a Quest route, setting a Quest aside, completing a Quest, saving or favoriting an artifact, and changing your Current Movement. This helps the Archive remember your place and provide features connected to your activity.

Private Field Notes

Field Notes are private account content. They are stored so you can return to them. Their text is never sent to an AI provider, read by AI, or used to generate your monthly Observation.

A limited number of authorized service providers may technically process or store Field Notes only as needed to host, secure, back up, or maintain the Archive. DIYvinci may access private account data only when needed to respond to a support request, protect the service, investigate misuse, or follow the law.

Payment information

Paid memberships are handled through Wix and its payment services. DIYvinci does not receive or store your complete payment card number. We may receive billing details such as your plan, payment status, renewal date, and transaction records.

Messages and support requests

If you contact DIYvinci, we collect the information you include in your message so we can respond.

Technical information

The Archive and its service providers may collect information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, login time, error logs, and cookies or similar technologies needed for sign-in, security, preferences, performance, and checkout.

How AI is used

The Archive uses an AI service to help create monthly Observations. The AI may receive limited information from your Artis Vitae, Keeper Profile, and recorded Archive activity. It receives only the information needed to create that Observation.

The AI does not receive or read the text of your private Field Notes.

AI-generated Observations may be incomplete or mistaken. They offer one possible reading of your creative patterns. They are not medical, mental health, or professional advice.

How we use information

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Provide free or paid Archive access.
  • Save your place, preferences, Field Notes, and Folio items.
  • Create your Keeper Profile and monthly Observations.
  • Process payments and manage membership status.
  • Respond to support, privacy, and accessibility requests.
  • Protect the Archive from fraud, misuse, and security problems.
  • Improve reliability and fix technical issues.
  • Follow legal and financial recordkeeping requirements.

When information is shared

DIYvinci shares information only when needed to operate the Archive or follow the law. Current service categories include:

  • Base44, which hosts and supports the Archive application.
  • Wix and its payment services, which manage plans, billing, and payment processing.
  • An AI service provider, which receives limited profile and activity data needed to create monthly Observations.
  • Professional advisers, government authorities, or other parties when disclosure is legally required or reasonably needed to protect rights, safety, and security.

These providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies. DIYvinci does not sell or rent personal information and does not share private Field Note text with the AI provider.

Cookies

The Archive may use necessary cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember settings, protect accounts, process checkout, and understand technical performance. Your browser may let you block cookies, but some Archive features may stop working.

How long information is kept

We keep account information while your account is active. If you cancel a paid membership, paid access ends at the close of the billing period, but your account and saved Archive data may remain available in case you return.

You may ask us to delete your account and personal information. Some billing, security, or legal records may be kept for as long as the law requires or allows. Backup copies may take additional time to be removed.

Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Delete your account and personal information.
  • Provide a copy of certain information.
  • Limit or object to certain uses of your information.

Email support@diyvinci.com to make a request. We may need to confirm your identity before completing it. You may also cancel your membership through the account or billing tools provided.

Security

DIYvinci and its service providers use reasonable steps to protect personal information. No website, app, or storage system can guarantee complete security. Please use a strong password and tell us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

Adults only

The Archive is intended for adults age 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe someone under 18 has created an account, contact us so we can review and remove it.

International use

DIYvinci is based in Illinois in the United States. If you use the Archive from another country, your information may be processed in the United States or other places where our service providers operate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the Archive, our service providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised date at the top. If a change meaningfully affects how we use personal information, we will provide reasonable notice.
